found this under my car. what is it? the car started acting weird after i found this too.

That is the hood pin swith that is located near the main fuse block under the hood. It is only used on cars that have the factory alarm. If the hood is opened while the alarm is set it will go off.

I have a pic, I just now thought of it. It should be noted that there is a small metal bracket that is used as a post for the sensor to slip over. This bracket is bolted to the fuse block using the same bolt.

On the 2G, it's on the left front by the AC receiver.
