[RESOLVED] What happens with the boost control solenoid when you install a manual boo

What happens with the boost control soilanoid when you install a manual boost controller? You need that right?

Disconnect the lines going to the factory boost solenoid and just run the vacuum lines to the MBC as stated with your instructions. If you want you can leave the harness plugged into the solenoid, but I don't necessarily know if you have to, I don't believe you throw a code if you don't, but I just left mine plugged it.

Just disconnect it, it will not throw a code. Run your hose from the turbo compression side nipple or J-pipe nipple to the mbc then the mbc to the WG.

Yea, I took mines off. No code.

i did the same thing and have been running it for 4 yrs. with no problems

I would leave the solenoid connected to the electrical connection just in case you ever want to use it again in a pinch and because I was under the impression that it does turn on a code though I can't confirm that because I've never unplugged mine and I now use (with a different solenoid) for ecu based boost control.

only 2g's throw codes when the bcs is disconected, 1g's do not.
