[RESOLVED] Vibration under acceleration from 3000 to 3500 rpm

I drive a 1998 Eclipse RS, nonturbo 420A. Recently under acceleration my whole car shakes, enough to shake the rearview mirror off. The harder i accelerate the more violent the shaking is. It only shakes from the rpm range of 3000 to 3500 rpm, no matter what gear. I do not know if this is an engine, transmission, or suspension problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.

thought i'd just let you know what it was. it ended up being a cracked bellhousing. i replaced it and its good to go.
