[RESOLVED] shifting with out pushing the clutch??

i cant figure out why my car wont go in gear when i start it so i start it up in first then it starts to move so i jus give it some gas and go.ok while i drive i throw it in second and slightly pushing the clutch in barely at all cause da peddle is sorta stuck in the middle wont go down but so far..i notice i went through 4 gears without even using the clutch down...could this mean that my TOB is stuck in the pp with the clutch engaged???WTF

Can you put it in any gear with the car idling? after you start it?

Have you shecked to see if the clutch fluid is full?

sounds like the assembly went bad on your car....

Nothing is wrong with the clutch or its components just the pedal assembly went bad. Its common for 1gs.

Is your tranny seperating from your motor at all. Ive seen this happen where bellhousing bolts come out and the tranny comes off the engine and the clutch wont disengage. I had a car with welded motor mounts that did this. Also do you shift hard, my guess is you broke your clutch disc and a spring is stuck in there somewhere.

well i had a bolt at the bottom very loose bout to come out the tranny then another one on top that was bout to come out i think they vibrated loose and my assembly is good i checked it...and yes it is very very hard to shift into any gear i got put my wight into the shifter but it still goes in all gears?i thighten all teh bolts on the tranny and its still doin it..ima have to drop it huh??

Usually when the bellhousing bolts fall out, the clutch gets pretty busted up.

wow thats exactly my problem then thanks guys.... yes i could fit 2 fingers in the gap that was between the motor and the tranny....luckly i order a new one...guess i gotta go drop my tranny welp it was slippin so might as well ...i love this site its so much help

yea i said the same thing..when i noticed it i might have to thread lock the bolts.... but i do shift a lil hard raping hondas

My trans seperated about an 1/8th of a inch. It still shifted but I had some serious vibrations. I only had the trans mount and one bolt holding the trans on.

Mine was due to a idiot previous owner/ poly mounts all the way around.

Just the matter of checking alot of bolts like trans bolts manifold bolts intake bolts every month or so.

Loctite helps with them vibrating out too.

great thnks guys ima put some locktite on when i get my tranny down...so were can i get some good motor mounts?? like poly u..ive looked all over and cant seem to find any

Definitely purchase some poly mounts! Will help with wheel hop and the car feels much more solid.
