I have a 96 Talon Esi and when i went to drive my car yesterday the clutch felt soft, like you can put it to the floor without much effort and it was having trouble getting into gears. The only way i can shift is if i double clutch like push the clutch in put it in neutral then let go and push the clutch again then it will shift into gear. any ideas what it can be. It has been really cold the past couple of days. Could it be the Master cylinder or Slave cylinder or clutch. I have looked but haven't found an answer.

First I would check to make sure your fluid level is full and then bleed out the system. There is a good chance that this your problem and its an easy fix. However if this doesn't fix it then its one of your cylinders. This happened to me a few years back and I had to replace either the slave or the master cylinder but I can't recall which one it was, sorry. Hope this still helps.

try bleeding the system, check for leaks on your master and slave cylinder. to check the mastercylinder you have to go under the dash and see if there is any fluid on the carpet or matt. If there is fluid on your floor than it means that you master cylinder is bad and you should replace it. If those are non of your problems than you might have to take the tranny off to see if your cluth, fork, throwout bearing or even the tranny itself are bad. hope this helps:thumb:
