[RESOLVED] oil pressure gauge problem

let me start off by saying, "yes, i am a noob," not only to this forum, but to dsm's. let me explain my problem because i did look for a few minutes, but could not find an answer to my specific question.... i recently purchased a 1990 talon tsi awd, the starter went bad the first week i had it. i took the starter out and had it tested and of course ... bad. so i put everything back together with a brand new starter and solenoid, and now my oil pressure guage is not registering ANY pressure, it usually registers at the first line. my question is... is there a wire near the starter that could be easily knocked loose that would cause this... im almost positive it is a loose connection bc it was working before the starter replacement, where should i look? any advice is appreciated... i've probably had a total of MAYBE an hour driving it and 2 hours so far working on this car and knew nothing about it except its fast and awd. so forgive me if i sound stupid for asking this question.
