[RESOLVED] mystery part laying under hood? think it may be egr soloniod

Ok well i had the battery out putting in new intercooler piping and a new slave cylinder when i found a part that i think is the egr solonoid(yes i searched). Ther part has a hose about a foot long(looks like a cooliant hose), attached to a disc, then has a vacuum line coming off the disc. I am getting ready to do the six bolt swap but wanted to get everything in this car right before i did it so i wouldn't lead into alot of problems later. the hose that is on this has a bolt capping off the end, which i dont know why cause i dont think anything would come out of it. Now if this is the egr i take it that its already blocked off? I am not getting any cel either. If this is the egr tell me the best route of what i should do-#1 take it all the way off #2 hook it back up #3 leave it how it is. I can find alot of shit on egr blockoff but that is all it tells you is how to block it off not what to do with the shit you do block off!

Six weeks at Easton in lifeboat school, a run up to Earl for firefighting. A run out to Ellicott City when a friend let me borrow his motorcycle. Movies at Towson, and was it the Senator Theater up on York Road? Saw Airplane! in Germantown, had a girlfriend in Dundalk, she was tending a bar out in Carney.
I only feel bad about the million things I missed, like Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
At the time, Baltimore may have had the best cops in the country.
