[RESOLVED] How to remove 2g headlights? Pics?

You need to take the front bumper cover off in order to get to screws holding the bottom brackets that are under the bumper cover.

Just start taking bolts off and get the cover off then the headlights are easy from there.

Hate to ask this but what are they worth i am about to get rid of a 96 shell and the headlights are good none of the body is and was wondering if its worth the time.

I know stupid question and against forum rules, but i am just trying to get an idea of there value...

Well it really only took me like 20 minutes to take off the bumper, mount the new head lights and put the bumper back on.

I have no idea what they are worth. They must not be pitted, fogged, or yellowed if they are in good condition. If they are none of those I bet you could get at least $50 I'd say, but don't quote me on that

Maybe if they were the 97-99 stock headlights with the black housing, I know those are semi- desirable. As far as a pair of 96 headlights, I'd say it's not worth the time IMO.

Yup. Not unless you take the headlights apart and paint the housing black.

Yet again, there is no need to remove the bumper. Use a ¼"-drive socket and extension, bend the bumper below the headlight out of the way, protect it with a rag and stab it in there. Leave the bottom bolt out when you re-install.
