[RESOLVED] Anti-Lock Brakes on GS?

my car didnt come w/ ABS. its a 97 eclipse gs. i want ABS for winter. can i buy it separately and have a shop put it on or not?

Sounds pretty expensive. I doubt it would be worth the money unless you had a junked-out 2g w/ abs to move it over from.

Yes it does come on some eclipse's. But to swap it would be a pain as you will need a new wire harness and the abs unit. Wheel speed sensors and new abs hub bearings. And you will need the abs controller. along with a ton or new break lines to reroute the lines to the abs unit.
