let me start out by saying ive searched and didnt find what i needed. what i want to know is can a block be bored 60 over and still be daily driven without any problems. the reason i ask is, i have a block that was subject to piston slap in one cylinder, but the pistons were already 20 over..so anyone with experance with 60 over pistons please chime in and let me know of your experance thank you :thumb:

.40 over would be the next step up, not .60 over. Any time you go that far with the overbore, you will need to worry about the block cracking. As for street driving, I see no problem at all with a 60 over motor. It when you subject the block to extreme pressures when racing, is where you see blocks cracking.

the reason i asked about 60 over is theres a nice gouge in the block i dont know if 40 over is gona be doable if it is thats what ill go with but thats why i was asking about 60 over....thanks for the advice so far

To far IMO. You will worry about overheating and running hotter.. These blocks are a dime a dozen, grab another one.
