[RESOLVED] 14b in a 2g oil feed line

Nope. I don't see why it would unless the turbo seals are going. Then you are losing/burning some oil depending on how bad it is.

Take off your intake on the turbo and if the turbo has oil on the compressor housing, the seals are a little worn out.

Just make sure there isn't hella oil there.

If you have oil in the inlet of your turbo, and your hose form the valve cover that vents pressure and toxic fumes runs to your intake still you wil have oil in the inlet.

Now running it from the head is what 1gs do from the factory and will work just fine. Going from the filter housing requires a ss line and a fitting. The benefit from running it from the filter housin is its clean oil. 14b turbos are well made and I wouldn't worry about it, I have ran and seen 5+ 14bs run for years with feed off the head. Now if it were a nicer more expensive turbo I would opt for clean oil.

Also make sure your crushed washers are all in good shape otherwise you will leak.

I ran a 14b on my 2g for awhile, i had it fed off the oil filter housing via a SS feed, and i never had an issue. I thought journal bearing turbo's were better fed off the filter housing due to the higher demand for oil pressure, which makes it seem weird that 1g's had it off the head. Anyway, I'm sure it'll work either way.
