I'm buying clutch slave cylinder online from AutoZone right now. What's involved with the replacement and what other parts or accessories might I need. Anything I might need to know?

Thanks guys :thumb:

Its not that hard it is just 2 I beleive 10mm bolts holding it in and the banjo bolt for the fluid line. It basicly takes about 10 min and if you have a vacuum bleeding pump than that takes care of rebleeding the clutch line.

yea, its 2 10mm bolts like Slo said and then a 14 mm banjo bolt, only thing you need aside from buying the slave is some grease for the rod, and like boosted said, it'd be a great idea to do the master as well, good luck with everything

I actually just did that yesterday. the slave like everyone else said has 2 10mm bolts and then you have the clutch line feed to disconnect. I have changed one on a MR2 and thats a pain in the butt. thank god for easily accessible engines. let us know how it goes!

I wouldn't do the master until I absolutely had to...

Hmm, Mine only took about 25 minutes to swap out. Guess I got lucky. It would suck to just replace the slave and spend your time bleeding the system and then having to go back again in a month to do the Master and re-bleed the system again. Just go ahead and take care of the whole hydraulic system (slave, master, and lines) and you will be good for a long time :thumb:

I did the same (replacing both at the same time) but the master was just a fight until the end. I spent probably 2 hours on it. I don't even want to think about replacing it again.

I'm just gonna do the clutch slave cylinder this weekend. It's way too cold out in Jersey for me to be worrying about if the master cylinder is gonna give me a hassle! I dont mind bleeding the system again.
