Well, I decided to run over to the local U-Pull-It to see if I'll luck out on any drip moldings. Well, what do you know...

I paid $21 for this pair of the molding, and a panel for the inside to cover the sunroof since mine was missing. VERY cheap fix. =] I'm very happy with how it came out. Just needs a little finishing coat on them but for now I'm okay with it.

Thanks :D

Looks good. Luckily I have both drip moulding brand new in the boxes still waiting to put on my car.
Ha yes, very lucky for you. Did a lot of searching and man did the prices skyrocket on the factory replacements before they got discontinued.

:applause:

Don't put'em on til your current ones are truly trashed xD

When you were finished installing the new ones back on, did you have any trouble with the actual weather rubber molding that goes back on afterwards? I did this myself, and no matter how I put it back on, the door doesn't seem to shut easy anymore. When pulling on the door to open, it "pops" open now. Can't get it to sit flush.

On the passenger side, yeah kind of. I think that there was some type of glue towards the front from factory but I'm not sure. I just put everything back on and tucked it in as best as I could to the way it was before. I dropped some water all over everything and it didn't leak.

Hm yeah. I haven't done my passenger side because I don't want this same problem happening on both doors. If I was also to lower the window, and raise it back up, there's a pretty decent size pocket hole between the window and the weather molding. You can hear the air pocket at cruising speed, and have to open the door and close it to eliminate it.

Looks like I'll need to try some sort of glue.

I paid $80 shipped for them (both)

I believe I was the last person to get them (JNZ tunings last pair)

This is where I got mine last year. I have another mint set (yes both sides) sitting in my closet for future endeavors. They made one hell of a difference on my car because its dark green paint and everything else is painted black. Chipped chrome mouldings made it look like crap.

I just did this task myself and thought I could add a couple pictures of how it goes together. The rain channel slides behind the metal molding and the rubber seal was a bit of a PITA to put back in. I had to use a small flat head to put it back into place.

thank you for the pictures. My car is going in for paint next month and I am pulling all the window moldings except quarter panel ones and I've been dreading cleaning these up and putting them back in. Seems these types of things never go back in the same they came out.

Damn that looks alot better nice work! mine need done really bad too

For the 1g it is kinda hard to find some in decent condition. I might just strip the old ones and coat it with a spray on rubber of somesort, still need to look around for what to do with them.
