Hey guys... I Have A '99 Eclipse GS And Need To Remove The Center Air Vents... What Is The Best Way To Go About This?

take a small flat head screwdriver and pry out the center trim peice...carefully unhook all the wiring harnesses...then the vent's just pop out after that.

just so yano -- ya can ingnore the part about the 'cold air bypass cable' in defiants thread. 99's dont have that.

Even with the cold air bypass cable you can still use a small screwdriver to pull the bezel out far enough to detach 2 plastic clips on the top and 2 on the bottom that attach it to the vents. The cable attaches to the vents not to the bezel. After you have the bezel detached you can pull the plugs for all the switches and if needed you can get to the cable from the front (after the bezel is removed) and detach it then pull the vents themselves. Easy process, no need to play with the glovebox.
