Removing cat, how do i stop check engine light to come on?

I'm going to do a full exhaust on my car, Header, downpipe, removing my cat, bigger GST catback pipe, and 3R racing muffler, my question tho is what can i do to fake out the O2 sensor on my cat so that when i remove the cat, my check engine light won't come on?

The easiest way would be to install one of these:
O2 OXYGEN SENSOR ADAPTER UNIVERSAL 02 EXTENSION SPACER: eBay Motors (item 230426084110 end time Jun-17-10 10:02:05 PDT)

This pushes the o2 sensor a little farther away from the exhaust gases which tricks it into thinking it's seeing clean air.

There is a mod for this involving a resistor and some fancy wiring. Do a search.

Does that mod only keep the CEL from coming on or will you be able to pass emissions test? Oh, and by emissions I mean the OBDII test not the pipe test

Where me and Haase are, we don't have to pass any emissions testing I think...

i have no cat and i get the check engine light about once ever 1-2 months i just erase the code once i see it. also i got it emission tested in CT and it somehow passed . no idea how

yea we don't have any emissions or tests of anything for our cars, which makes things nice for us! but i just don't like my check engine light being on

its easier to take the bulb out

take bezel off

take cluster out

use a flashlight take bulbs out one at a time shine flashlight if you see check engine you got it

True i wouldn't suggest doing it on a HP Engine tho...i ment by removing the CEL

But to answer your question Haase your CEL should not come on for the full system with no cat

On my car i got the 3"apexi N1 with testpipe & no cat codes or check engine light

i have the bbp headers and down pipe. i cut the flanges off my cat and welded them to the a piece of exhaust pipe. and then put a direct bolt on flowmaster muffler sounds great real deep tone. and still have not had a CEL come on. i guess i am just lucky
