I read a couple threads and see why it is good to remove but is just a breather filter ok or cause damage? And eventually catch can it but don't have the money with the work I currently have coming up on my car. Sure a positive answer would help out others as well since out of ten threads I read didn't have a true answer on using just a breather filter and capping off the intake pipe.

IF you aren't having any crankcase pressure problems than i would leave it alone. The stock pcv system works well for setups.

I have read that many times. I am at a point of not knowing what's causing my car to get oil leaks like it does. My aftermarket oil gauge my friend believes is bad and if my psi isn't getting that high then that I would think excessive crankcase pressure would be the culprit. Also my pcv is new and a factory replacement.
