When removing the cylinder head for a 1g turbo eclipse, do I hae to remove the camshafts in order to perform this task Unlike the 420A Head???

I dont want to mess things up so I ask :thumb:

snif snif gosh I feel like crying LOL this great Thanks Guys I dont have to WOO HOO! This job is going to be a lot easier than I thought Thanks to ALL.

Is it hard to do a Head Rebuild and what all do I have to do before I reinstall?

George

Rebuilding a head is something that will be done mostly by a machine shop, and if you have the tools you can disasseble/assemble the heads to save on labor costs.

For reinstallation you need a new head gasket, new head bolts are a plus :thumb:

Like they said, you can leave the cams in to remove the head, but if you are doing a rebuild you are going to want to remove the cams to get to the valvetrain.
