i figured id get more vibration removing the balance shafts, right now they are removed. i figured because they responed to rpm's i would get more vibration at higher rpms, but high rpms at lower speed arnt bad its high speeds that bother me, once i get above 60 my steering wheel shakes badly and my whole car is practically shaking, could this be related to balance shafts or is my car fvcked up in another way

Removing the balance shafts will cause vibrations throughout the entire rpm range and as the rpms get higher the vibrations have a tendencey to get worse.

A good test to see if the problem you are experiencing is not related to the blaance shafts being removed would be to rev the car while not moving, in neutral. If the vibrations are still there then the balance shaft being removed is your culprit.

Ok thats defenetly not the balence shafts thats steering related CV joints or something... balenace shafts only gave me shakink from 900rpms to 1200rpms other than that its a small vibration... while moving there would be no more vibrations than not moveing the above poster is right ..

I had the same kind of vibrations for a while and throught my 2000 was out of alignment, turned out my front right tire which was worn like 20% tread left and my left tire which was brand new was what was causing the vibrations from 65mph+ The uneveness of them caused it. Once I put two new tires on the front it stopped. Just something to check. If it isn't that I agree, check out your CV Joints and also check your your wheel hubs if you can move the wheels laterally at all then the wheel hub/bearings are going bad. Had that problem as well on my driver side on my GST. I have my balance shafts removed on my GST and I don't feel hardly any vibrations due to it.

what about if the rim has those pre installed balance weights. How is the wheel supposed to be balanced. the shop always tell that those rims dont need to be balanced.
