Remove intake silencer?

somewhere, someone told me that you can do that? is it true and how do you do it?

yes, well I really don't know if the mas on the n/t has it but its worth the check because it only takes like 2 seconds to check and remove. Here is what you do, take of the whole aircan assembly(aircar, filter, mas) from the intake pipe. On the intake side of the mas there should be a weird metal, filterlooking thing. It has a whoel bunch of traingles that go to a circle in the middle. If you don't see one of those then you don't hve the intake silencer. I see your in the bay area you should try and make it to one of the meets sometime always good to see a new dsmer.

hells yes! take off the maf from the intake, right where the intake tube connects to the maf, you will see a paper silencer, kinda star shaped. thats it, just pull the whole thing out.

I live down in sunnyvale but i would drive anywhere in the bay area for a meet. thanks a lot about the intake silencer info..... after school i wwill go home and see what happens..
