Remote Car Starter

Hi, stupid question: if I take my car somewhere to get a remote starter put in my turbo car, is a turbo-timer kind-of a standard thing that would come with it?? My dad did all the wheeling-and-dealing, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting; but my dad said that the guy said that because my car is a turbo it will cost extra. I'm hoping that "extra cost" will be my turbo timer... Any thoughts?

turbo should make no diff what so ever..
some remote starters do come with a TT built in -
I got mine from ebay for $50 and it had this built in. to activate it
you have to push the "start" button while the car is running then it will start the countdown.

don't forget that remote starters are only for automatics - unless for some reason you don't have to push in your clutch pedal to start it

u just have to unplug the clutch safety switch...thats how mine is done

Yea, so if you want to have the remote starter you can pull the clutch wire so you can start with pushing in clutch

yea thats how mine works also i have manual and have the Viper 791vx the one with the lcd screen. It has remote start and turbo timer built in.

It can be used for clutches too, but it's advised not to be put on a clutch, because the installer is at a liabilty if the person remote starts it and leaves it in gear. You can either disconnect the clutch safety switch, or use a relay to bypass the switch.
