Remanufactured 7 bolt

I've talked to him a few times about his motors. He uses a modified thrust bearing and nitrides the crank further than factory specs. If your looking for a 7 bolt motor he charges 1900 for a shortblock and 2800 for a long block with a three year warranty. I'm still deciding wheter to buy a 7 or 6 bolt from him. He quoted me 950 for a 6 bolt with 2g pistons. His website is overbore.com

yeah looks that way. He also removes the oil squirters and revises the block for better oil flow. I ended up ordering the 7 bolt with ross pistons, eagle rods, and acl rod bearings. My total price was $2700. Which was the same as all the qoutes I got local for a rebuild. When I do put the motor in my car I'm also going to disable the clutch switch for extra insurance. After every oil change I'm going to pull the oil pan and check for increased end play on the crank. There has been a few people that I have talked to that are running his motor. Two people have almost 50k miles on it and with no sign of crankwalk. The other people have less miles with no sign of crankwalk. I did a crap load of research on him. I called many mitsubishi dealerships asking who their supplier was on remanufactured 7 bolts and surprisingly a lot of them went through him. There was only one dealership that had a problem with one of his motors. The crank wasn't nirtided enough and ended up crankwalking. They said overbore had another motor out there in two weeks and not had another problem since.

Yeah, ive been talking with him also, he knows what he is doing, I have a friend that has one of his 6bolts and is just amazed by it, No problems what so ever. Im just trying to deside ether to get a short block build (7bolt) , 2.3 stroker short block or just get his 2.0 7bolt. So many options LOL

I installed the engine two weeks ago. So far no problems at all. The motor has 350 miles on it and I will check for crank play when I change the oil.

So if i get a 7bolt block, what would i have to have in it to support 500hp safely??

I asked him these questions and he didnt really give me a response i was looking for..

He said the STOCK engine would only hold 200hp?!? wtf people run 450 on a stock engine

I wanna stay somewhat cheap only need a block...

if your looking for a 7bolt shortblock, he does that too, quoted me $3k for a built bottom end scat rods/ross pistons or moly pistions (sp). Its realy what you want to run, but an upgrade on the internals will support 500hp easy.
