I changed the valve cover gasket, and took a picture of all the valve springs and what not. Looks very clean.

I also installed a Megan Racing Short Shifter. The first attempt lead to a bolt snapping. After speaking to a customer service rep at Megan, they sent me out a whole new kit. A few problems later, it was installed. I'm happy with it, but it's still a bit tall. And I think my transmission has something a little odd with it. I cant go from 1st to 2nd with one motion. No matter how hard I try, the shifter always pauses for a split second in neutral. Hmm.

So far, so good.

Is your clutch adjusted right And also check your shifter cable to see if there is any play in the bushings. Both of these problems gave me the same feeling you said when shifting.
