I will be buying my 'new' 1998 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with 53,172 on Wednesday (just have to sign loan paperwork). I ran carfax and the car had an owner in Wisconson and 2 owners in Florida. Carfax had a note stating Eagle doesn't not report recall information to them.
I did a search and didn't find anything so here is the question. Has anyone with a Talon used the 'Recall or Customer Safisfaction Notification Information' on Chrysler's website? Here's the link http://www.chrysler.com/webselfserv...recall&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm('R')
I entered the VIN number of the car and it came up as 'No Incomplete Recalls or Customer Satisfaction Notifications Exist'. Can I trust this?
If I call the local Chrysler dealership and check for outstanding recall notices, wouldn't they only have information of recalls that are done at their dealership? If they use the same link above, then shouldn't the information on it be accurate?
