i am currently deciding weather to rebuild my turbo or buy another the seals r leaking but there is no shaft play any suggestions or post to look off of if i do rebuild it?

T25 rebuilds are a bi*** for a first-timer, mostly because the snap ring holding the compressor cover on almost always seizes itself into the groove. It can be done, though....basically the same procedure as any other journal bearing turbo.

In case you haven't figured it out that is Justin talking who does a great job of rebuilding turbos. Also supplies top quality (not ebay crap) rebuild kits if you want to try. I rebuilt my T25 using his parts and article which now works great. If I was to do it over though, I think I'd just give it to Justin considering the time and work involved (especially that damn snap ring). The only other difficult thing was to find a guy who had a media blaster to clean the turbine and compressor wheels (which I eventually found at, you guessed it, a local truck turbo rebuild company which I didn't know about but charged triple what Justin does).

Here's some turbo rebuild articles/videos:

How to Rebuild a Turbo - Part 1 of 2 - YouTube Great informative video if you dont know how to do it. when i rebuilt mine i found a supplier of all size n temp o-ring gaskets locally . with no shaft play you should be golden .i actually took my hot side oil seal and the grove it sits in and cleaned all the carbon and caked up burnt oil with a razor making sure it was absolutely clean and reused the seal, under the deflector plate was so caked with burnt oil it came off in hard chunks and i didnt think ide get down to metal. not recommended but i did it on mine and i haven't had any leaks.
