well i just put a stage two head on my car new HG and arp studs. it started three time now abut i had to pump the gas alot and then it started ? but when ilet off the gas the car would not stay running? no it will not start at all. checked the timing belt to see if it was off any nope on in the right place? what else could it be i have spark idk about gas i smell it but i took the spark plugs out and in cyl.1 there was not gas in it but the others have black stuff on the piston? HELP !!! please!

You are on the right track. Go over the basics and make sure you have fuel, spark, and timing all done and working properly. Figure out which one isnt working properly. And also check to see if you have good compression.

that is my nexted thing is compression? i hear you need to have the motor warm to do it? how cna i do that if i can't get it to start!

You dont have to have the motor warm to do a comp. test. How much black stuff (wet, crusty, dry...or whatever) is on the plug or piston. You could be fouling out the plugs in fuel.

Is the 'black stuff' dry and crusted or gooey and wet? Fouling is having too much fuel and it actually coats the tip of the electrode so that it cannot spark. If those are old plugs then replace them. Make sure you take all 4 out and let the cylinder dry out and try to evaporate some of that liquid fuel.

well the spark plugs fire. but on top oif the piston there is back shuff? so should i just take the spark plugs out over night is this why the car is not starting? anything else it could be?
