reason for a boost gauge...

if the electronic b/c show the boost you are running, why would one get a gauge? two gauges to fill a pod and its like 150 bucks.

Because the stock boost gauge sucks very very bad. Not accurate at all.

Because not everyone has/can afford an Apex'i EBC. Many choose to go with a MBC and a standard boost gauge, gets the job done. Thats like asking why someone would buy a Geo when a Lexus is so much nicer.

i was asking if i needed a gauge if im going to get a electornic b/c. i wasnt saying dont get the gauge and just buy a b/c. seems that there is no reason to get both so im going to skip the gauge and go for the b/c. thanks guys

For an EBC to correctly control boost it would have to know the actual PSI/Hg, so if its displaying it I wouldn't see a reason to have another one.

was wondering when i bought my greddy EBC.... a few people say the display will lag behind their real guage , but it will usually come out right on the spike. Seemed to me like a slight problem with how fast the display updates so for now I just have the EBC..... when i start controlling fuel i'll probably get one since I'll be doing the pillar anyway
