I did a full poly install on my gsx and the rear trailing arm is binding. I am torquing it at the body mount to 109 ft lbs and at the knuckle to 94 ft lbs. would the poly bushings make a difference and I should not torque to spec or what? It is the prothane kit btw.

The sleeves are slightly bigger then the bush so it should rotate the sleeve inside the bush! Is there enough lube inside as the prothanes have grooved inside for lots of lube, if it's still binding then I can only assume it's not quite straight and maybe slightly off causing this, is there a specific place you know it does this or can you just need it while driving?

Have you taken shocks off and putnit through the motion to see 1st hand where it's doing this

Try it and see. Because it clamps the sleeve down it pivots in the poly bushings so any binding will be between them both, it's also something you have to keep re lubing aswell as it will wear otherwise

Just wanted to say thanks. You were right about the inner sleeve clamping down. I guess there was not enough lube in the poly mount but I got it torqued now and its good to go. Thanks again.

No worries man, it was only 1 of a very small list of things it could be, it's a problem many see but remember it is an item you need to keep lubed up from now on to stop it making noises and also wearing out the poly bushings!

Glad it's done now,
