I've a '97 GS-T Spyder with Koni coilovers fitted to the car when i bought it.
My problem is that i've no idea how to access the rear mounts to adjust the coilover settings.
Do i need to remove the soft-top to be able to do this?

Climb in the back seat, reach your hand near the rear windows (the side of the top) between the headliner and the plastic sidepanel next to the backseat. Reach back to the shock tower and you'll find the top of the shock.

You can also get to them from the trunk but you have to remove the center panel (4 push in trim pins and two bolts (or are they screws? dont remember)) and reach between the cross brace which is a PITA. Better from the back seat.

Since there are a bunch of Spyder owners posting here, I just got my Spyder and am surprised there is no Spyder forum here or on DSMtalk. Where does everyone post Spyder specific posts?

Or am I just not seeing them?

Heh heh... well we spyder owners pretend we don't have the headache of all the convertable crap and try not to talk about it. Essentially we live in denail with dreams of an AWD drivetrain without any work.

Realistically though they are 95% like hardtops. Just that Wret has posted good stuff in the tech area. If a problem comes up and you can't deal with it, then post it. But the reality is, that most people don't have them, most live with the problems of a soft top and it's limitations, and worst of all, it a costly additional headache. I've replaced the windows in the rear, the rear tracks for the windows, the convertable top and both motors myself. It's just another dimension to the DSM world.

Oh yeah, and go through the friggin back seat. It's better than taking the top off... TRUST ME!!
