Rear strut lowering issues

This might belong in the suspension section, but its a big newbie question so i figured it should be in here instead. I'm on a big budget, so I installed intrax springs on kyb shocks (no comments please, I know its not the best setup). I got the fronts done no problem, but when I went to do the rears, I noticed that the strut rod was too long for the top plate to even get within an 1" of the top of the spring that is completely uncompressed. In other words the spring on the rear struts are not compressed down like the front's are. Do I have the wrong strut for the car, is the spring too small for the shock, or is it normal (was told that you can just install the strut/spring on the car like that and the weight of the car will compress the spring when the strut rod sinks into the housing)??? No clue what to do here, and my car is currently jacked up in the rear, and slammed in the front

lowering springs are shorter than the stock springs. you're fine.

I'm just afraid if i hit a big bump that my strut will fully decompress, and the spring will get thrown off center and f up my whole setup. So are you saying I can install the rear setup without compressing the spring onto the shock at all?
