ok guys 2 things.... 1 BE CAREFUL DAMMIT!! i know you heard it all before so i wont preach, but just be careful. last night i was getting the front coil off the strut of my talon, i compressed the spring got the top nut off and was having a hard time getting the top plate off, so i decided to slowly decompress the spring until it comes off. spring compressors come off all the way and theres nothing left keeping the coil down, i stick a screwdriver in to pry the top off because it was real dirty so i just figured it was held on by crud, then BOOM..... the top plate shot about 30 feet into the street and the strut shot directly into my shin. which immediately swelled up huge and cause me to lose consciousness temporarily after looking at it. i dunno what woulda happened if my gf wasnt there draggin me into the house to get ice. ANYWAY... my fault? probably. but im sure there are lots of us that would have done the same thing. im not really a newb to suspension, i've lowered a dsm before and a billion trucks. i just wasnt being as careful as i should have been.
my question: the pass side axle pulled out of the tranny, can i just push the "tripod" thing back into the receiving end of the tranny? or have i probably f*cked something up
