ok so i looked around a lil and couldnt really get an good idea on what i should pay. my freind is trying to sell me a set of used tokico illuminas with eibach prokits on them but the knobs ontop of the struts are broken off so idk if they can be adjusted, he is looking to get around 400 for the whole setup, would that be a good price?

it would be alright but be warned its going to slam your car(i know i have the same setup). I literally rub the inside of my wheel wells. I would love to raise mine back up but i got rid of all the stock suspension parts

It all depends on what you want to do with your car, and 400 doesnt seem like too bad of a price as long as they are low mileage, because that same setup new can run you upwards of $800, but you could always swap out the springs for different ones, tein makes some that only drop the car like an inch.

Depending on mileage, might not be a bad deal. I don't think the pro-kit will slam it that much. The Sportline kit lowers it more than the pro kit.

$400 is too much. The setup only costs about 600 bucks, and they aren't worth that, even, when they're new. Unless my stock gear was broken, someone would have to give the whole set to me for me to consider putting it on my car.

Also, anyone who is "slammed" on prokits has other issues.

I just bought KYB AGXs, Eibach prokit and Ingells adjustable upper control arms for 250 used in good condition. Sorry, I would not spend 400 on broken struts.

Exactly what Black Widow says here.

I had the Sportlines on my 97 AWD TSI and it was way too low.

The prokit should be a nice little drop.

How low you ask? I live in Toronto, Canada, a major busy city, and I was scraping everywhere.

As for price? I don't know, but $400 for broken struts does not sound good.

The setup above appears to have dropped me about 1 to 1.25". Modest but it looks nice.
