I just finished installing my 2" Sprint springs w/ KYB AGX's. The front lowered the way they were suppose to. The rear didn't lower, it actually raised an inch. I cut all my stock bump stops in half. What do you think is the problem? Should I remove the bump stops in the rear? I looked at the springs and they weren't compressed. What should I do? THANKS

A friend 's car was like that after installing sprints, and it dropped more after a few days. Might be because they are so stiff or something. As long as you put them on right, i would assume the same for yours

ROFL

Measure the height of the perch on the old shocks and new shocks.

Verify that you have the correct springs on the front and rear.

The bumpstops should not have any effect on static ride height.

I installed the springs by putting the larger coil on the bottom and the smaller coil on the top. This was the only way the springs would sit on the shocks properly.

I have the sprints and when I installed them on the stock shocks the smaller part of the spring was not on top. But im not farmiliar with kybs so that may not be the problem. Just figured I would tell you which way mine went. And I have heard through forum to forum that KYB agx's suck with the sprint springs and the car in general something about the size of them. Do a search on a few forums.

I can attest to that. My Sprint/AGX combo is terrible. I don't know if it is the springs or shocks or both, but they are wayyy too stiff, even when the agx's are set to the softest.

I have sprints on my car with stock struts and it rides AWESOME.

Most definatly I have the 2" sprints on my stock struts and it still rides nice, not to mention I have never hit the bump stops once. And I live in wisconsin.<-----worst roads of all.

make sure you have the proper front and rear combo in the proper place. also check to see if the springs you ordered are the indeed correct ones for the assesment. also I'm understanding that your looking for your car to drop dramatically and instantly yet it will take time for your springs to set. and don't get rid of the bump stops. your front will lower more right away due to the amount of transfered weight distribution from the front rather than the rear as in engine vs trunk. now the springset is a 2" drop and if in a couple of days its not set right then i would contact the place you got them from and ask for a replacement. but yes it should settle on its own. you'll feel kind of ridiculous having an odd ride but eventually it should settle it self. :thumb:
