Rear roaring sound when cruising at 80

Today I was cruising at 70, and everytime i brought it to 80mph there was a roaring sound in the rear. There is always a low roar at higher speeds. I was wondering if this is an all wheel drive thing or if i need to get something changed or checked out?

describe this sounds better. I had my u joints go bad and that was one sound, and a wheel bearing is a whole other sound.

its a roaring that sounds like keeps going in and out a few times a second. I cant describe it better than that.

also with your u-joints, how did you go about replacing/fixing them, how much were they, and how much are new rear bearings if that it was the problem is.

Dude my front wheel bearing does that it almost feels like a click if you hold the shifter. Other than that I would say most definatly a wheel bearing. I got a new front wheel bearing for like 40 bucks plus the two seals all in all I spent 81 for all the parts for one wheel.
