rear O2 Sensor Problem...

Yea, I removed it now. I changed the ecu out and put one with dsmlink in it. I just dont want to have the same problem with it. If you turn off the rear one with dsmlink will it still show it working when they run the test??
 
It won't through a code.... Though I would recommend you leave the Rear O2 plugged in even if you have DSMLink disabling the rear o2. The reason is because the ECU is trying drive the O2 sensors heaters whether is actually attached or not.

Disabling just tells DSMLInk to ignore the rear O2 sensor's Signal. This also may cause your emissions to be off as the ECU can no longer check the CAT efficiency by reading the Rear O2 versus the Front O2. The ECU uses this measurement to tweak the fuel to get optimum efficiency in the CAT which translates to lower emissions.

I personally have the Rear O2 sensor disabled and have my LC-1 Wideband wired into the Rear O2's signal input into the ECU. I literally cut the wire and spliced ECU portion on the Wideband's output signal. All other parts of the Rear O2 I left, including leaving it installed and wired in. But I don't have emission checks in Iowa...

It is interesting that NarrowBand O2's very in signal from 0-1 V and Widebands from 0-5V. But luckly, the engineer designing the circuit allowed the possibility of an input signal of 0-5V so it is possibly for us to use the Rear O2 input for a WideBand signal.

If that makes any sense...
