So when my buddy was swapping my axle the other day, we come to find out the rear motor mount is just kinda dangling there, not even any bolt in it. Is there a faq or walkthrough somewhere on the net as to how to swap that out or service it? I see other motor mount faqs on here or something and that's just the side ones, or how to make them beefier. I was just curious if anyone knew a place I could read up on it and tackle it. I'm pretty sure THAT'S why my motor shakes the piss out of my car sometimes :) Sometimes it feels like the glass in the driver side mirror is gonna shake out of the housing and the sunroof is going to fall apart.

If it's anything like a 2g, unbolt the three bolt to frame from the top and the three that connect to block from underneath. Also, the bolt for the actual mount can go either way, but bottom was easier for me. Hope that helps at all.

To make them beefier you can get some prothane inserts. Would make your car shake a bit but holds the engine there real nice.

So these prothane units just go in the stock mount? I'm used to older cars that you just replaced the whole mount. I'm not used to these new fangled contraptions they have out now :)

Nice s/n LOL Yes I searched too. I searched the Vfaqs, the tech articles on here, and did a search on all the different forums.
