Hey everyone. I know this has probably been asked 1000 times but I REALLY need to find some rear axles for my 97 GSX. I have had the car sitting for months now because I cant find rear axles anywhere! Can someone please just point in the right direction! I dont need LSD axles or anything like that. Im really looking for the cheapest axles just so I can get them in the car and get it moving. I'll upgrade them later. Thanks in advance.

I second raxles! I couldn't find a diver side from for my first dsm to save my life sent it to them and was up and running again.

I have always had amazing luck with Raxles very friendly and great customer support.

Just called these guys and he said he hasnt had Rear Axles for DSM in about 8 years. Lol it was worth a try tho. The guy I spoke to got a good laugh out of it.

Then definitely call JNZ, or if you can go ahead and bite the bullet and get some better ones from the Driveshaft shop, looked like they still carry stuff based on their website.

Miller Imports would be the first place to try, but there is a pair on that TMZ link as well.

2G rear AWD axles have been discontinued for years. The only places you'll find new aftermarket axles are the Driveshaft Shop which will cost an arm and a leg, and DSM Graveyard.

Miller Imports. Supporting vendor on the site and likely has tons of these in good used condition for a good price.

Just got the email back from Miller Imports and they dont have any either.
And that TMZ site replied back that he sold them last week.

Looks like JNZ is the only place that has them. Ima call tomorrow to verify that they are actually in stock.

Thanks everyone for the help. Hopefully these guys got em.

Hmm. Well, there was a 2G AWD at the yard here a while back. Most people dont touch the rear ends cause theyre a pita. I do need to go there this weekend, and if its there, Ill see if I can get the axles for you if theyre in good shape. Have you tried the DSM partout ads in the classifieds here yet?

EDIT: There is an ad in the partouts for some 95 non lsd axles, $350.00.

iv always gotten mine for my 1Gs from a local shop called AA foreign auto parts in glen burnie that deals in axles and racks, just south of baltimore. its not exactly around the corner, and i have not needed to buy an axle from them in at least 2 years, but it cant hurt to google their number and give them a call. an hours drive might have you your axles today if they still keep rebuilt ones in stock.

1G Axles don't have the same issue of seizing in the hub like 2G axles. Don't think there are any issues finding decent 1G axles.

XSeasonx, go ahead and try JNZ but I'd be surprised if they had any. Your best bet is probably DSM Graveyard.

I had contacted Raxles 2 weeks ago. They no longer do front axles on our cars (mine is a 1992 laser AWD 6/4 combo)

I didnt need rear so I didnt inquire. I went with my next best option, NAPA.

some day Ill hit up DSS when Im ballin yo.

Wow really? The last time I did business with them was in 08 that sucks that they no longer carry axles for us I loved doing business with them.

... I dont need LSD axles or anything like that...

If you're looking to find complete axles and want to keep the same differential you'll need to find LSD or NON-LSD specific axles as they use different inner cups on both sides.

If you just need to replace the outer CVs (that seize in the hub assembly) and saved the shaft/inner you can get those separately.

I found a couple sets of NON-LSD rear axles and was able to swap the outer CVs to the LSD shaft and that's what I am running in one of my cars.

I needed another set of the outer CVs and ended up getting them from Frank at the driveshaft shop: 1-704-633-2380

Someone needs to start making them soon (besides DSS) because they do like to seize, specially up north. I wish rear axles would cost as much as a New front DSM axles too if not less LOL. Good luck finding one though:thumb:

Yeah I gave Brian a call and he said he didnt have them and if he were to make them then it would be around the same price as DriveShaft Shop or even more expensive. Then I gave JNZ a call and they dont have them either :/ He said the only ones he can get is of course, DSS.

I think we need to get some people together and go ahead and start making these things LOL.

I have a set of non lsd axles in great shape . i actually have a few LOL pm me

PM'd.
