Really Bad Misfire..

Ok, my car will run fine for awhile but then it will start to misfire really bad ( sounds like it is only running on 1-2 cylinders ) and then it will idle around 500-300 RPM range.. I can disconnect the negative battery post and reconnect it and sometimes it will start running fine after that. The plugs, plug wires, and coil packs are brand new. When its misfiring it won't even get past like 2000 rpms and you can give it WOT and it just starts to misfire really bad. I am stumpt I can't figure it out..

I am going to do a compression test later today.. So next time I post back I will give the numbers out. I will also do a boost leak test while I am at it.

Check your power transister. Mine gets loose sometimes and the car immediately kicks into 2 cylinder mode. The stock connection is crappy and comes loose over time, especially on 1G's. You might want to try to tighten up the connections and see if that helps. An old trick is to use foil over the prongs so the fit is tighter, that helped on mine for awhile.

The other thing I could tell you is a possible vacuum leak, maybe around the throttle body? Just an idea....
