Reality check on small 16g performance

It's out. The wheels both barely kissed the housings. The turbo was definitely the cause of the smoke screen though. The hot side is slick with oil.

You don't even need to unbolt the turbine housing, o2 housing, and downpipe from the car- just remove the turbo at the v-band.....be careful not to lose the little locating pin. It normally stays in the turbine housing, though.

I just pulled the exhaust side stuff off too.

I was stupid when I installed the turbo and had the clamp on the back side of the turbo. There was no way to get to the clamp without taking off the manifold.

Ah....I always face the clamp bolt down, just behind the oil drain, so it can be accessed fairly easily. It's where Mitsu places the bolt on every new Mitsu turbo I've seen.

Well I didn't do that. It only took me an extra few minutes to pull the exhaust manifold off. No big deal. I think it took me 30 min start to finish to pull it.
