I am in the market for a data logger and am wondering what most people use. I am new to tuning so go easy on the flames.
Thanks.

Pocketlogger. More people probably use it. You get the software and cable all in one package.

There are other software packages out there that might be free, but then you still need to get a cable. I have seen people get the wrong cables off ebay, or get fustrated with the free software. I love my pocketlogger and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Besides palm data loggers, there are many other logging and tuning tools out there. Read my post in this thread to see more:

I am going to buy a S-AFC2 and Pocketlogger package. :D Do you think I will need GM Maf and GM MAFT also, I am looking to stop at about 350 whp

You don't need the maft to make 350 hp. A safc and logger can get you there. You will have to get rid of the 1g maf in my opinion. Go with a 2g maf upgrade, or the expensive gm maft route.
