G'day.
Have finally found time and money to enter the next round of the Qld Rally Championship at Jimna, Queensland on Sat 30th October. (Google Earth it).
Was about to drive the car to my local garage to change front right driveshaft, only to notice the spare alternator has sh_t the regulator and was charging at 16 volts.
A local Auto Electrician checked the output on his test bench and the output at 3000rpm was 18volts.
Am awaiting a 90 Amp replacement and will be working late on the car Tues night to replace the alternator, refit the radiator and fans to be ready as scrutineering is on Wed night but may need to ask for a race day scrutineer if I am out of time.
Sometime this rallying game is frustrating.
