I have a 99 eclipse and I want to know what would I need to do for me to raise my boost to 20 psi with my mods and what psi would be safe on my mods? My goal is 20 psi at the moment and I am at 15psi at the moment. Mod on Engine and maintenance has been done recently.
-Apexi full catback Exhaust
-Megan Catless down pipe
-Ported 02 Housing
-Ported Exhaust Manifold

-all new hoses
-Type rs Bov
-Prothane engine mounts
-3g lifters
-inject intake
-190 Walbro fuel pump

You have no tuning device or wideband, so you really have no idea what's happening when you adjust boost. You should get both of these items before you turn boost up, or you're basically doing everything blindly.

If you had a tuning device, you could watch IDC% (injector duty cycle) to make sure you don't go above 80-85%.

If you had a wideband, you could make sure you don't run too lean, seeing as you're still running stock 450cc injectors. They won't be able to support all the fuel that you would need at higher boost levels.

Walbro 255, 550cc-1000cc injectors, 14b or 16g turbo, ecmlink, tune, wideband, boost controller, fmic, exhuast, manual boost controller=20psi safe reliable power worth it done right. That is basic for everyone. when you check off all that list then you can up your boost. :p you can run like 15psi where you at now. You can do all you want to the car until it blows up, or do it right by watching the ecu, I mean why else do you have all those sensors on your car? Then when you study the log and tune safely then your good. Or just wing it until you think it's safe and hope it don't blow up. Common common sence now.

okay i will get the tuning tools then turn it up

I just got code po455 help? How to test this?

P0455 is an Evap leak of some sort. Check your gas cap (is it tight?), did you refill while car was running? Also, check your purge valve, disconnect it and blow through, if you can, that's your problem. You might have to do a Evap leak test, the one with the smoke. When I had the problem a while ago turned out to be purge valve, no biggie

Depending on the tuning device ::Cough:: ::Link:: you can view and clear codes that show up too..

Just to reiterate and give you a better idea of everything you will need to safely turn the boost up.

Tuning device
Wideband

Since you'll more than likely need injectors, you will also need this.
550cc injectors (or whatever size, personally I would go with 750's in your situation)
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Aeromotive AFPR (there are a few other brands i would recommend as well)

Once you do these mods you'll set up the basic platform for tuning and more upgrades. It may sound expensive for right now but trust me, its not.

No need for a 255 pump. The 190 pump will be plenty for 20psi on a 14b and even a 16g.

No need for ECMLink. The OP has a 99 so he has the flashable ECU. He can either get a Tactrix 2.0 cable and EVOScan and tune the ECU in the car, or take it to a shop that tunes EVOs or Subaru's... just call the shop and ask if they are familiar with ECUFlash and have a 2.0 Tactrix cable. Pretty sure the shop would have a wideband they could put into your downpipe for the tune as well but ask. If you plan on tuning yourself, a wideband is needed.

You are probably going to want a front mount intercooler, or a Supra sidemount intercooler, or spray meth injection, or run E85. At 20psi, the stock intercooler will get heatsoaked pretty easily.

Get some 560-660 injectors to run 20psi on a 14b.

Once again, why spend 500 on Link when he can have all he needs to tune his ECU for less than half that? I have a flashable ECU in my 95 & 99 and I can do all that stuff. NLTS, anitlag, turn off codes, read codes, edit fuel maps & timing maps, adjust injector size, injector latency or "global dead time" (for Link users), adjust the Mass Airflow Sensor...

Once again, no need for a 255 pump or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. A 190 pump will be plenty.
