Is it possible to hook up my radio so that it shuts off when i open the door in my 1g Eclipse

Yeah.You can just use a latching relay, you can find them with both neg and pos inputs.Just wire the neg to your door switch and wire the pos to the ignition, and run one NO(normally open) contact to +12v and the other NO contact to the radio.This will actuate the relay when the IGN is turned on, and deactuate when the door is open.Or some DEI alarms have a delayed accessory output thats does the same thing.
