2G Radiator Sizing

I am currently planning ahead for my future build (as always). I know a lot of people choose to go with a half size radiator because of space issues. I get that, and like the idea. However, with higher horsepower, would a half size radiator be sufficient enough to keep things around normal temps? My theory is that a smaller rad, with a smaller capacity wouldn't be able to keep up with cooling on an engine with a lot of power. Someone correct me if I'm thinking about it the wrong way. I do know how the system works, so that's not an issue.

I think it depends on what your doing with the car. If your running your high hp car down the track for a couple seconds a half rad will be fine. If your running on a road corse you'll need extra fluid capacity.

Could you be more specific on what you think your space issues are so those with big setups can chime in on what they have done to mediate the problem while retaining stock width or even larger core depth radiators?

This was more of a general thought kind of question. I'm not yet sure if I'd need a half size personally since I haven't gotten that far into my plans. However, Cooper97gst gave a good point that I think I'll have to go with when the time comes. I do intend to do road race one day, so I should keep my full size Mishimoto rad.

I do plan to get an HX40 one day and the goal is at least 500hp. Thanks to both of you.
