OK so the rad fans are all wired to the relay in the driver side fuse box with one wire going into the socket for the relay. Both the fans turn on as soon as the key is turned on. The problem is that it keeps the car too cool. I want to wire the fans back to stock, so they come on when the temp reaches the correct temp.

Does anyone have wiring diagrams/pics of the wiring for the fans. What sensors activate the fans. I hear there is one on the bottom of the rad, is that the only one?

I basically just need to see some wiring diagrams, and maybe some input from people who have done this.

thanks fellas

BTW the car is a 1990 Eclipse, GST.

ok. That should work.

On the T-stat housing, there is a temp switch for the A/C, is that needed for the cooling fan(not AC fan) to work properly? I dont have A/C (well, working AC anyway) in my car, so I will probably wire both the fans to just come on when the coolant is at the right temp.

What im getting from those manuals, from the Fan motor, the wires go to the Temp switch, on the bottom of the radiator, then from there goes to the fan relay? Am I correct in this, or wrong?

Hell, depending on how F'ed up the wiring is It might just be easier to wire the fans to a switch inside the car.. i dunno.. Im not the best when it comes to wiring, thats my main weak point.

From what I remember, you need the sensor on the t-stat housing, and I don't remember this sensor your talking about on the bottom of the radiator. What I'm getting from the diagrams is that power goes from the ignition switch to the relay coil, and when there's enough coolant temp, the sensor in the t-stat housing closes the circuit, which makes the relay turn on to run the fan.

hmm. Yeh I was told there was a sensor or something on the bottom of the rad. Maybe im thinking of 2G though.. idk

I've never herd about one on the bottom of it, nor does it make a ton of sense to me as to why there would be one there, because that's the "cool" side of the radiator, but it would not surprise me if there's another one down there.
