Ractive exhaust tip

i got a friend with a ractivemuffler that i can have welded to 3 inch pipes for the gst

ive never seen one in person before this an i want to know if they are good exhaust and sound good

A tip and exhaust are two different things..You mise well go ebay exhaust rather than just a fart can..My .02 cents

my friend has the muffler and im wondering if itll be good with a full 3 inch exhaust

the pipes will be custom. will the pipes make any difference in sound from an expensive name brand?

The muffler /resonator(s) will change the sound; non-resonated 3" pipe is non-resonated 3" pipe.

Yes and no..

Folks will swear up and down that there thermal is better, better sounding ETC ETC.

But that guy spent 500$ on his catback, and I spent 250 on my turboback..

So, cheaper is not always better..But as far as pipes being pipes..Yes pipes are just pipes...Some exuast places put in a resonator, my Megan has it..some will be just piping, ohh and remember a oval muffler will deaden the sound more than a round muffler will.Which is probably why most would reccomend a thermal..

The last DSM I had which I sold to a good friend had a Ractive muffler on it with full 3" non-resonated pipe and I thought it sounded great! It had a big ol' tip like 5" if I remember right. Sounded a little louder than my current Thermal setup, but not too loud. I liked it!

The only difference between expensive and cheap pipes is corrosion resistance... (Coated vs uncoated, stainless 304, 314, 316 etc.)
