yeah the whole point of him buying the talon was to fix it up and make it fast. it needed paint and a whole bunch of other goodies to even make it road worthy. hell, im suprised it made it to the bay area. ill give the car a week before our ghetto rigged clutch shaft snaps on him, and he calls "umm dude i cant put the clutch in bro?".

i dont think 260k is bad for the 300. more than likely its all commuter miles. it drives really smooth, prolly smoother than the talon. but who knows, quite possibly the guy who we traded with is like "LOL i give it a week before the head gasket blows on him". who knows. but yes i was very suprised in the krazy whit boy in NOT test driving it. but we wouldnt have heard the throwout till we got over 55, and in the bay area surface streets in 5:30PM traffic that wasnt an option. they drove the talon up and back once in the parking lot. that was it. he asked if we had papers. we did. deal was signed. he was gonna leave his speakers and his head in, we told him to take it(we had the system from his teg) and we helped him take it out. then we left.

you ever notice how some people fit in their car, and others look out of place? well, krazywhitboy definately fits the 300. he looks alot like Bryan Spilner from F&F when he rolls up in the supra to race the ferrari. btw if anyone cares, krazywhitboys name is Bryan. the car fits him perfect. now me, on the other hand, im completely out of place in a convertible. only reason for getting it was it was a 2g turbo, for a n/t price. the converti was a bonus. people still say i look better in my tbird. but its slow, so i had to get something better, the hell do i care how i look in the car, all they see is the taillights anyways. :dsm: :thumb:

still dont have my car back yet. they keep telling me tomorrow, tomorrow. and it hasnt happened yet.
 
well the time has almost come, ive had her since 2000 and its time to move on, just cant be botherd with her up keep anylonger. Love her to death but its not worth the frustration. So im putting my 97 rs up for sale soon. was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on what i should ask for her, as i said shes a 97 rs, auto, power windows power door locks brand new tires tint, full stereo system including cd player subs and amp, about 112,000 miles on her im fixing the tranny tomorrow, and all she will need after that is a new valve cover gasket and new spark plug tube seals and a new passenger side axle, other then that she purs like a kitten runs tuff. only real mod is a short ram air intake which gives her a beastly growl when u punch the accelerator. has front mesh grill cleard front side markers with white led's and custom made fog lights. so with that said anyone have an idea what i should ask i was thinkin like 4-5 grand area but i may be wrong. Once shes gone im moving on to a bmw 3 series. thanks for any help
 
Go through, get the KBB value, Autotrader value (do a search and see what the majority of the cars in your area are going for), and take a look around on the classifieds.. that'll give you a good idea on what it's all worth- about...

I would pay $12,000 for a 99GSX....10 for a 97 auto n/a, you are nucking futs.

I just looked it up on KBB.com with what I know about the car. $4,230, so he was right on. Find the right buyer and you might get $4,500 out of it. Good luck man.

Note: It bothers me that an auto is worth more than a manual. What's this world coming to?
 
yeah i just did the k.b.b and the value came about about 4,370 so ill prob do a 4500 or 5000 obo type dealy, thanks for the help
 
Well I finally got the balls to sell my car, and now that I have im happy. It was just giving me to many problems and I dont have the time nor the money to fix them right now. So the new owner is taking over the keys tomorrow and I'm going to get my new ride...92 Stealth R/t TT. Boy I cant wait! Guess I'd just like to say thanks to all the people on the board who have helped me out w/ things over time.

you do know that you're getting rid of one problematic car and buying another just as unreliable right? Don't get me wrong, I love those cars and they are cool as shit, but if you sold your dsm to avoid problems, moving to a 3s isn't exactly the right solution.

DSM's are freakin strong cars man, youre buying a more unreliable, easier to break car.
Have fun when you shatter that tranny, will cost you twice as much as you sold the DSM for to fix it.

Well not that anyone probably cares but I am extatic...Got my new car. '99 cobra, 5 speed, black leather, Longtubes, X-pipe, Flow masters, short shifter, cold air, Solid Rear axle w/ 4.30's/ posi, Tubular K-member and A-arm, QA1 fully adjustable shocks, coilovers and CC plates.

Ran a 13.1 on street tires. Its A LOT different then what I am used to but I think I like it, other then the fact that its soo big and doesnt handle near as good as my dsm did.

Well, I finally did it. I sold my Eclipse to a guy here in town. I was going to see about getting an Evo, but the payments were going to be around $400 a month just on the car. And I can't exactly afford that right now. :( So I found a nice 66 Chevelle SS with a 454 in it that I am going to get. I called the guy and was going to ask him about payment options, but he is on vacation for 2 weeks. The car is really nice looking from what I can see in the pictures. The only problem is it's in Nashville, Tenn. and I'm in southern Indiana, so I can't go see what kind of shape the frame is in. The guy says it's in good shape. Should I take his word for it? Any help or questions would be great.

Alrght so, nobody can offer any input or anything?

well i watch my talon leave me when the dealer delivered my new dodge srt-4 yesterday they came and got both my vehicals. i may not have posted anything usefull even though i been here for awhile. but damn that car is fast. i cant get cardomain to work. or i post pic.
