QUIET Exhaust...does it exist?

Greddy SP is what you are looking for. i had run one on mine forever. it was quiet compaired to the rest.

I wanted the best of both worlds, quiet car with the best performance and exhaust flow. I bought a 3" exhaust cut-out from QTP and welded some 3" slip fit connectors to 2 flanges and slipped it in-line with my RNR exhaust. I trimmed a bit around the edges of the flapper on the exhaust cut-out so that limited exhaust could flow around it.

After some fabrication, I got it to fit underneath the car with good ground clearance. With the flapper closed (or mostly closed) I get a good sounding nice quiet car. When I need performance, I flip the switch and the valve opens up all the way to bring it to the normal sound level while providing the same performance as before.

Thus far it as worked very well with no problems.

For quiet performance, I'm a fan of the Greddy EVO2. Sounds very very mild at idle and doesn't increase a whole lot at WOT. Get a 2.5" DP with evo2 exhaust and you'll get the best of both worlds (well at least the best balance of both worlds).

To kind of go off what Matt said, I would reccomend the RNR exhaust in itself...;)...I have it for my gsx, w/ and N1 muffler and its pretty dang quiet too. I have a megan O2 eliminator Dp and RNR catback and I couldn't be happier! :thumb:

Not to get off topic, but have you guys read about RNR lately? It seems that their usual 3 month wait has been turning into a "forever" wait. Meaning some guys have reported back that they didn't even their exhausts in and it's been over 6-12 months!

I can attest to this, and I probably would have gone the route that I originally had planned and waited for an Espelir or Megan catback from Japan a little longer. I was told, mine would ship out a week from when I ordered it, b/c "...business was slow for that exhaust system..." so I ordered it and about a month or so later I received it after constant calling and e-mailing. I was never given an explanation or anything. I love the exhaust, but I also was unaware that it would be slip fit and that it didn't come w/ hardware and or anything...WTF...for the price its nice and sounds great, but all of the deception was not going well w/ me. I recommend for price, but you may be waiting awhile like blcknspo0ln said. I have pics of it on if anyone wants to see it on a 2ga too? Just my 2 cents, but craftsmanship is awesome, just dint like how they dint tell you everything if you dint ask and when you are ordering it online, if you do, you wouldn't be able to tell either... I would recommend the Espelir or Megan for a 2g awd, from Hopupracing, or RRE...both have the best prices, hands down for those catbacks. :thumb:
