my car is about to hit the 100,000 mark, and i would like to know what, if anything if i should change. such as a tune up, i did the plugs and wires, changed up some vacume hoses, degreased, changed the oil, i put some of that oil addative(don't know if that does anything).. i found my car to waste a lil more gas than usual, iunno if it might be a leak, cause my spool sounds a lot louder, iunno why, the bov is tight, alost there is a hint of oil smell, not bad and visable smoke, what i think, but i don't know if im right, is some of my intercoolin couplings are gettin woren, and kinda crackin, (its the whole greddy i/c pipe all around) so anyone know any place to buy new silicone couplings i think if i replace those i might have a better seal. and whats a good amount of torque for the metal seals that you put over the couplings? last time i over did one and broke the metal thread,

quick tech question too... about to change my vavlve cover gasket, and i found one screw than can come out too easy, i tried puttin it back, but i think the treds came out, what to do? should i just rethread? or put some of that ultra coper sealant in there?

And if anyone can help with this question, i have an apexi intake, the power funnel one, i was wonder if those can be cleaned by that k&n cleanrs, or by like alchoal, caues mines gettin pretty filthy,

Also.. if i were to switch intakes, would hte HKS be a prefered one? and since i have the apexi filter adapter, could i use that for the hks one? since i don't want to get rid of my MAS sensors..

THANKS
P.S. any helpd is appreciated

i would consider flushing the radiator, if it hasn't been done since you got the car and have had it for a while.

sounds like its stripped, i know there was a thing on www.vfaq.com about fixing stripped valve cover bolts.

if it is a cotton filter like the k&n i have heard of people cleaning them like a k&n and would say there is no problem with using that method.

with the intake, is your adapter a plate that changes the ovel to a circle, if so how many inches is it across the circle side. just check out the hks they usually say what the length is on the filter opening, and if its the same i would assume it would work.

why do you want to change intakes? sounds like your throwing money in the trash

and i don't know where to get the silicone couplings. do you have a boost gauge? if you do you shouldn't be boosting very good if its leaking.

alright, yah i'll keep mine, and just clean my intake, and i'l check out the valve cover faq, thanks, for the tips
