Quick questions on a rebuilt 2g turbo

ok, only have 70miles on rebuild things are going good, a few minor adjustments and a belt that continues to scream like a banshie but i think its my crank pully?


ok my tstat has been replace and new water pump, but i've never remember checking the fluid before (never over heated etc nor spilt out etc) i think my cap is bad as the other day i pulled it to check and there was no fluid in that upper tube, when i squeezed it i herd fluid, and my tank is full (not to the top just to the cold line, well more above it) I started it up and added fluid and it moves when it gets to temp etc a few bubbles but moves normal and such. so is my cap bad or is this normal?

other question would be, want motor mounts should i replace since i have the BS out and it kind of jerks (not all the time) when it shifts, like they are giving up to much slack.

Look at your motor mounts and you'll see whether they're shot or not. If the rubber is ripped, they're junk.

Make sure your crank pulley is not seperated. If it's OK, you may just need to clean it good with carb spray and a wire brush to get the belt to quit squealing. Belt squealing seems like a common issue with DSMs.

Get a new radiator cap.

thanks for the tips, ill do the crank sometime this week after i pic my kid up from school etc, and as for the mounts, they are new but they sat outside for 3years under the hood so yeah time for stiffer monts and the cap is on its way (just ordered it) will see how it all goes.
