Quick question about injector firing order...

cannot figure out why my injector 4 is not working.. replaced injectors, replaced ecu ect ect.... can anyone tell me if injectors 1 and 4 open at the same time so I can make a temp fix till I figure out the problem????

cylinders 1 and 3/ 2 and 4 rotate at the same heights but only one injector fires at a time since only one cylinder is being charged at a time. you can do something crazy and try wiring the injectors 2-4 and do a plug swap, but I cant make any promises it will work.

The injectors can run in both sequential and batch mode. Based on your question the answer you need to hear is that they are independent.

There is very little involved in the injector circuit and given that you changed the ECU and injectors without solving the problem it's time to wip out the multimeter and start diagnosing the problem.

The power comes to the injector via the injector resistor in the firewall on a turbo car and from there wire runs to each injector and from the injector to the ECU. So one of the injector resistors can be bad, the wiring between it and the injectors and the wiring from the injector to the ECU.

can you tell me what the resistor pack should test out at on a multimeter?

The resistors should measure about 6 ohms each.

Lets see, five wires and four resistors. One common power input and four outputs, one for each injector, makes five.

If you look at the MPI diagram in the FSM this is pretty clear. If you don't have the FSM your working with one hand tied behind your back.

hmmm so can you draw it up on paint for me? the 5th wire should connect to one set of them? or all?

The 5th wire comes from a 12v+ source. So in reality it would be like running a wire straight from the hot side of the battery to that 5th wire. that 5th wire then goes into the resistors where it is split into the 4 wires that power individual injectors. Hope that makes sense.

let me draw up what I think will work.... any idea on resistors? ive read somewhere some 10 watt 10 ohm's will work?

hmmm now that i think about it more Id say A is it and it probly doesnt even matter what order they are wired in...

It doesn't matter which wire goes where. They are a constant power source, not signal wires. I can't see the image you posted. Sorry.

We used the resistor pack that my friend pulled out of a TSI. Just go find a car that had a 4g63T and get the silver box off the firewall.

I don't know how you would build one.
